When a client approached us who had issues growing grass in the shaded portion of their yard, we saw an opportunity to do something practical and innovative with artificial turf. The upper level of their yard was shaded, while the lower part had full sun. It was also important to them to keep wide open areas for their family and their dog. The design used an accent wall to divide the yard into two distinct parts: natural lawn and enhanced synthetic turf. Blooming plants and shade-loving perennials completed the look and added softness. Artificial turf is a relatively new technology in terms of home landscaping, but our crews are specially trained to create a smooth and natural-looking artificial turf area that is maintenance free.
